    The storms: “Laura” and “Marco”.

The link above is to The National Hurricane Center’s main page, so when the two storms are gone….. yeah.

My bet with my buddy…… I bet him a round of golf at my club that one of the first three things the typical Democrat mayor of New Orleans will do, after officially declaring the emergency, is to suspend 2A in the city…… and make it operational much more than what went down during/after Katrina…. and to make it more special, the damnable typical Democrats will target only the bitterly-clinging sector, because BLM…… The typical Democrats are gonna start over-reaching with zero ability to follow through. If they go for it, this could easily get way out of hand - quickly.

And…. We have a second bet (lunch after the round) that one of other first five on the typical Democrat jackboot checklist will be to not only reinforce the Chinese Kung Flu mandates, but to actually criminalize at a felonly level anyone not wearing a mask, or ‘social distancing’ at any time during the storm emergency until lifted - including personnel involved in rescue operations, securing sites, etc.

Like I said on the thread header, I hope I’m wrong.

But I’m pretty sure I’m right.

Unfortunately, I was right on part one….. and that happened dang near immediately.

We made our bet around 1100, 21 August.

The state of emergency was declared and officially filed about four hours later at 1506….. We didn’t know it until this morning. And not just within New Orleans city limits by the power-mad Democrat mayor, but also declared for all of Orleans Parish, by the parish president.

‘The Emergency Authority’ has sole discretion on who can do what, where and when, and also can selectively enforce items…… Such as the sales and conveyance of alcohol, tobacco, firearms, ammunition and combustibles are prohibited. The Superintendent of Police is the sole AHJ and also, The Emergency Authority can by-force remove anyone refusing to evacuate, including anyone who decided to stay in order to protect their property.
