This happened back in May and just making ‘the media’ in the past day or so.

Two cases dropped due to lack of evidence. – Four cases dropped due to cadets resigning. – Fifty-five cadets admitted cheating, enrolled in a six-month rehab program on ethics (remain on probation for rest of their time at West Point). – Three admitted cheating, but not eligible for rehab program (expelled). – Nine accused of cheating have “administrative hearings to determine if they’ve violated the honor code and recommend penalties.” They could be expelled.

The rehabilitation program is called the Willful Admission Program. The cadets will receive “a mentor and write journals and essays on their experience”.

Professor of Law at The United States Military Academy Tim Bakken described the scandal as a national security issue: “There’s no excuse for cheating when the fundamental code for cadets is that they should not lie, cheat or steal. Therefore when the military tries to downplay effects of cheating at the academy, we’re really downplaying the effects on the military as a whole. We rely on the military to tell us honestly when we should fight wars, and when we can win them.”

Of the sixty-seven cadets remaining, the Harris administration has already offered a guaranteed easy fix, all is forgiven, nobody dindoonuffin, if…. if…. if one itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny yellow-polka-dot bikini item is agreed to by a cadet…….. You will give the order to open fire (and also open fire yourself) on so-called law-abiding citizens claiming themselves ‘patriots’ if when ordered to do so.
