At the time of Mr. Weber’s arrest, no ‘red flag’ law existed in Ohio, nor does one exist today. However, there’s apparently some some sort of ‘gotcha’ in an existing law where ‘something can be done’ to deny a person their 2A rights.

Did a very slight amount of digging. Ms. Brown, the attorney for ‘the usual suspects’ assisting the prosecution, is a former Ohio Supreme Court Justice. Ms. Brown is a partner at the Jones-Day law firm. Her title: “Firm-Wide Partner-In Charge Of Diversity, Inclusion And Advancement.

If Mr. Weber’s event is upheld by the Ohio Supreme Court, the law can be interpreted as you’re at home, take-down and cleaning a firearm, enjoying a beer at the same time and ‘somebody’ who thinks gunsarebadmmmmmkay sees you, they call it in and you’re up on a felony charge.

    Nudge.

No doubt in my mind whatsoever, the ruling either way will be petitioned to SCOTUS.
