I didn’t see a link to the actual “Demand Justice” demand in the Breitbart article. I didn’t see an immediately obvious link on the Demand Justice website either, though I was amused by this:

    https://demandjustice.org/demand-justice-response-to-brett-kavanaugh-stating-his-intention-to-strike-down-gun-violence-prevention-measures/

“Brett Kavanaugh just officially put everyone on notice that no gun safety measures are safe now that he is on the Supreme Court.” “The NRA spent millions to help Republicans hijack the Supreme Court, and now Kavanaugh has gratuitously issued a menacing opinion to make clear they will get a return on their investment soon enough. As gun violence prevention advocates warned at the time, a vote to confirm Kavanaugh was a vote to make gun violence in America worse, and every senator should be held accountable.”

We are living in a post-constitutional republic. Demand Justice’s “demands” are not tethered to the text or even a logical interpretation of the Constitution. What the text says is irrelevant. Demand Justice’s “demands” are purely political. They are designed to sway Chief Justice Roberts and Republican senators into voting (on cases and nominees) the way the left wants.
