Yup. If FBI sniper Lon Horiuchi could shoot an unarmed woman in the head as she held her infant daughter in the doorway of her home, and get away with it, well, that emboldened the Deep State. Lon Horiuchi was not fired or imprisoned as a result. If not approved in advance, the assassination was at the very least retroactively OK’d.
Also nobody at the FBI was disciplined (not even a mere letter of reprimand!) for celebrating the assassination:
