    I’m finding it difficult to get past the “pearl-clutching nuns of the Internet” in the first line. In the Christian tradition, many nuns and other religious take vows of poverty. As a group, they’re probably the least likely to be “clutching pearls.” (Yes, it’s an attempt at metaphor. It is unsuccessful.)

    But it is probably true that comedy is truth’s last refuge. The left seems to be in conniptions. They’ve never responded well to humor directed against them, and still don’t. This means the right should do more of it.

    The left’s current fear: “Someone, somewhere is enjoying something that offends me.”
