If we expect a chief justice to vote like a poll-driven politician who happens to wear silly robes, this revelation is unremarkable. But for those Americans who remember their high school civics class lessons, and maybe have read the U.S. Constitution at one point, this revelation should make them distrust the system: the fix is in.

On a side note, the #mediajackals at CNN which published this article are telling untruths again, as where they write: “with the 2018 retirement of centrist-conservative Justice Anthony Kennedy and a solid 5-4 conservative majority…”

No “conservative” or “centrist-conservative” would have voted the way Justice Kennedy did on abortion and gay marriage cases. And the CNN article itself contradicts the “solid 5-4 conservative majority” claim, especially given not only Justice Roberts’ vote in the census citizenship case but also by his vote against the president on procedural grounds on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) case.

Look to see how Justice Roberts votes in the next Second Amendment case.
