If climate change is an imminent disaster, new taxes and regulations can be imposed by the left. These taxes and regulations, coincidentally, happen to elevate the status of climate “scientists” and enrich crony capitalists (c.f. the Obama-era Solyndra scandal).
It would therefore be a terrible thing if climate change were to be proven anything but an imminent disaster. Significant resources will be brought to bear to make sure the imminent-disaster-status was assured. (The left is quite efficient at deplatforming, after all.)
It is amusing that some scientists are actually trying to do actual science and talk about actual facts. Touching! So innocent and naive! This is now an ideological struggle. Facts and science have no place here.
