To me, what was much worse than the apres-stupor-bole ‘festivities’ in Lost Angel-Less was earlier in the day Sunday (and also on Saturday) at TPC Scottsdale at the Waste Management Open.
That tournament has become an abject mess and an embarrassment. Stadium golf on steroids, with tens-of-thousands in attendance out of control and mostly hammered/drunk.
If you didn’t see what happened, there were several holes-in-one at the par three 16th. Hit the various video and sports sites and search it.
And before anyone opens up on me, no, I’m not some stodgy old stuck-up snob. But I am a golfer, play every weekend it doesn’t rain. What goes on at that tournament is completely uncalled for.
