The linked article by Glenn Ellmers sounds right. American elites are increasingly distant from American normals. Ellmers calls it “alienated,” “fanatical,” and lacking “a common citizenship.” Yup.

America’s anti-constitutionalist elites believe they have the power. They believe they have the money. They believe they have the votes. They believe they are our betters.

They’re wrong on the last point, but they may be correct on the first three. The obstacle they face is that American law and history and custom place limits on evanescent majorities with power, money, and votes. Therefore the elites want to rip apart law and history and custom. Campus and Big Media agitprop are mechanisms for this. So is importing importing millions of foreigners, legally or illegally, who are unlikely to share the same appreciation for American law and history and custom–especially when our elites paint law and history and custom as racist white supremacist ableist cisnormative hate-filled oppression. Plus all those wrong pronouns!

The elites want American normals to shut up, if not die off. They now want to force the issue. What they don’t get is that normals might object.
