4th Amendment violation ? There is no 4th Amendment anymore.

I honestly hope a whole load of those “randomly selected” people are out there waiting with ‘business-end forward’ and simply say, “Get the f-ck off my property, you have less than five seconds….”

      Excerpt from the article:

Fifteen teams of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be fanning out across Atlanta this weekend, going door-to-door to ask members of 420 randomly selected households from 30 census blocks for blood samples.

Ick. I understand why CDC might be asking for blood samples, but the federal government does not have a good history when saying “trust us” on things like this.

What happens to the blood samples afterward? What’s the retention policy? Under what circumstances can law enforcement gain access to the blood, if stored? Is law enforcement permitted to pose as “CDC workers” to collect samples for investigative purposes?

And of course: What happens if you refuse? We’re in an “emergency,” right?
