If Democrats have “sanctuary cities” where federal immigration law has become null and void, why can’t Republicans have “sanctuary states” that protect the rights of law-abiding Americans to sell gun parts? (Of course unlike sanctuary cities, sanctuary states would be consistent with the U.S. Constitution.)

U.S. states except South Carolina and Missouri have adopted the Uniform Criminal Extradition Act, which could compel interstate rendition if NY provides proper legal process including a NY-issued arrest warrant. So free states like Texas, Idaho, and Montana may need to revisit UCEA to protect their law-abiding firearm manufacturers that provide significant economic benefit for those states.

Of course it may become a bit risky for those free state business owners to visit NY state. On the other hand, turnabout is fair play:

“Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, or regulation, willfully subjects any person in the State of Texas to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured by the Constitution of the State of Texas or the United States Constitution, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.”
