It’s good to see the Trump administration aware of this. The Deep State poses a more potent threat to the administration’s policy agenda–arguably a bigger threat to America–than Russia or China. It’s certainly a bigger threat to America’s continued existence as a democratic republic with free elections.
I remember Candidate Trump talking about draining the swamp. What he didn’t know is that it would not merely be a rhetorical flourish. Judged by their ethics and post-election behavior, many of these bureaucrats should be viewed as Deep State swamp creatures that are trying to undermine both this presidency and our republic.
Get rid of them. If the president can’t do it now, does anyone think a future president will do a better job? For that matter, does anyone think Deep State swamp creatures will allow anyone but themselves to choose future presidents?
