“Bills to help hunters on large parcels that cross multiple localities were killed 5-3 on Party lines.” [link]
“Delegate Cole’s 669 requires security in government gun-free zones. Killed by a 6 to 3 party line vote.” [link]
“HB 1485, LaRock, allows state and local government employees to carry with CHP in a workplace. Failed by 5 to 3 on party line vote. That concludes today’s subcommittee hearing.” [link]
Yesterday’s Richmond rally was a success in many ways. It brought RTKBA supporters together, and the presence of pro-2A sheriffs and other law enforcement was good to see.
But it was not a success at advancing pro-Second Amendment legislation. Less than 24 hours later, it failed to sway Virginia Democrat votes in a pro-constitutional direction.
We must acknowledge that the Democrats are principled. Unfortunately their principles are anti-constitutional.
