The WHO is part of the United Nations apparatus. It is a so-called “specialized” UN agency that says it “promotes health” “within the United Nations system.”
We know–and have known for decades–how corrupt and awful the UN, despite some positive things like standardization some of its agencies have accomplished. We should not automatically expect the WHO to be any less corrupt and awful. At the very least anyone arguing that the value “provided” UN agencies justifies extracing money from U.S. taxpayers should bear a heavy burden of proof.
